Williamston Water System Control

In response to Central Coastal Plain Capacity Use Area regulatory mandates for a 75% reduction in groundwater withdrawals from the its existing Cretaceous Aquifer water wells, the Town of Williamston entered into an agreement to purchase its primary water supply from the Martin County Regional Water nd Sewer Authority’s (MCRWASA) new Roanoke River surface water treatment plant. In order to prepare for the introduction of water supply from new delivery points, as well as manage the wheeling of MCRWASA water supply through the Town’s water distribution system for delivery to other water purveyors, the Town engaged Rivers to model the water distribution system, conduct a hydraulic analysis and design recommendations for system improvements.
