Uptown Parking Deck, Streetscape & Pedestrian Improvements

When the City elected to construct its first city-owned parking structure in the center city Uptown District, Rivers was engaged to provide survey, planning, civil engineering and landscape architecture services as a sub-consultant to the deck designer.  Rivers’ services included assisting with placement of the proposed structure on the site of an existing surface parking lot, determining the interaction of the proposed deck with adjacent plazas, street sidewalks, pedestrian alleys, and adjacent vacant lots. In addition to participating in public input forums, Rivers also provided design development, construction documentation and construction administration for demolition, grading and drainage, vegetation, pedestrian hardscape and utility service improvements.
