When East Carolina University determined to reconstruct its inter-collegiate NCAA baseball facility, a new 3,000-seat stadium was constructed on the site of the prior baseball field. The new stadium included not only a new spectator seating structure that also houses coaching staff offices, clubhouse, locker rooms, training rooms and in-door batting facilities, but the playing field was also reconstructed. Rivers was engaged as a sub-consultant to the project architect for the design of site drainage systems accommodating the new elevated playing surface and other site improvements as well as site utilities to serve the new facility.
