Washington's Main Street Improvements Under Construction

After a year of design and preparation of construction drawings, dramatic improvements to Washington's historiic retail center on Main Street are underway. Work includes replacement of aging utilities (water, stormwater and sewer), widened brick sidewalks, new historic lighting, benches, planters, and a small park area near the intersection of Main and Stewart Parkway. Work began in early 2020 and is scheduled for completion in November, 2020.

River's prepared the concepts, design development drawings and construction documents, and is acting as the City's Resident Project Representative on site. B.E. Singleton is the contractor for this work.
