Rivers & Associates is excited to announce we are actively seeking a creative Landscape Architect Designer for immediate employment in the Greenville, North Carolina office with the potential for remote working opportunities. Our office provides a small feel with the resources and exposure of a multidisciplinary firm including urban design, civil and environmental engineering, surveying and planning.

This position offers the ability to work side by side with Senior Landscape Architect, Allison Platt. This position would present exposure to all phases of project development as we are truly searching for a new teammate. You will gain experience quickly within this small team environment.

Studio leader, Allison Platt, PLA, MLA, ASLA joined the Rivers’ team as a Senior Landscape Architect with over thirty years’ experience in a wide variety of large and small scale design projects including downtown revitalization strategies, town center master plans, urban site and district plans, corridor studies, streetscape design, park design, and waterfront development plans. A main focus of her work is the identification of development and revitalization opportunities in urban settings.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Works in collaboration with Allison and civil engineers on a wide variety of projects ranging from streetscapes, urban spaces, and parks to community development
• Prepares documents and graphics for all phases of landscape architectural design, inclusive of site analysis, master planning, schematic design, design development and construction documentation and specifications
• Generate design graphics

Minimum Requirements

• Landscape Architecture Lincensure
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
• Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office Suite
• Proficiency and passion for creating compelling design, with an ability to develop the work through the technical design phases
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
